Tyrone Johnson

Pastor

Tyrone Johnson is an unapologetic Church Boy who came into the world with a song on his heart. At Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the Alton community of Slidell, Louisiana, he was taught from a young age that the practices of worship, learning about God and serving others were indispensable to life as a follower of Jesus.  And it stuck with him.

Tyrone graduated from Dillard University, where he gained tremendous appreciation for different genres of sacred music as a member of the university’s renowned Concert Choir.  He moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue a career in Accounting, but his passion for music and ministry ultimately lured him away from Corporate America. He served as Worship Leader at various Dallas-area churches before becoming Worship Arts Pastor at Chase Oaks Church (then Fellowship Bible Church North) in 2005.

Tyrone has been blessed to share the gospel throughout the U.S. and internationally as a worship leader and concert artist. While completing seminary studies at Dallas Baptist University, Tyrone found himself pondering a church that would draw upon his experiences in different worship settings all over the world to reach people for the cause of Christ. God was calling him to a new thing, and OneFaith Community Church began to take shape.

If you’ve ever felt that church was not for you, or that you’re not “qualified” to be part of the body of Christ, Tyrone wants you to give OneFaith a try. You’ll be introduced to the blessing of worship, learn about our magnificent God through practical teaching from God’s Word, and experience the joy of serving others as part of a welcoming and diverse community.
